“A Jewish Messiah: Tale of a Convincing Impostor, 1666”

Join the Siegal Lifelong Learning Program for a lecture by a visiting scholar titled “A Jewish Messiah: Tale of a Convincing Impostor, 1666” Monday, Feb. 20, at 7 p.m. at the Landmark Centre Building, Suite 100 (25700 Science Park Dr., Beachwood).

Matt Goldish, the Samuel M. and Esther Melton Chair of History at Ohio State University, will explain the historical and religious context that made Shabbatai Zevi a convincing messianic figure during the Ottoman Empire.

Admission is free for Lifelong Learning members and $5 for nonmembers.
