The AmeriCorps Supporting Understanding and Promoting Engagement and Resilience coach program is recruiting for a 35-hour-per-week service position for students who are interested in coaching patients to improve health. AmeriCorps is looking to fill 10 spots by Sept. 1.
The program is a great opportunity for students in a gap year between undergrad and medical school or other health science graduate programs.
The position involves direct patient contact, providing experience to students applying planning a career in medical or health sciences fields.
Students who participate in the program will serve from September 2015 through July 2016 and receive a living stipend, education award, health insurance and child care.
Interested students must apply during August 2015. Contact Nicholas Cohen, program director, at nicholas.cohen@case.edu with questions.
