High school seniors must secure college spots with deposits

NPR: May 1 was college decision day, the day in which many high school seniors had to send in their deposits to secure a place in the Class of 2017. NPR visited a Washington, D.C., high school, where a student discusses why he chose Case Western Reserve University. It was a school he almost didn’t apply to—but got in and, after visiting, “absolutely loved it. … This is where my new home is going to be.”
