In this week’s Guess Where photo, we featured the Mather Memorial Building. Just a fourth of respondents correctly guessed Mather Memorial; with Amasa Stone Chapel being another common guess.
Constructed from 1911-1913, the building is named for Flora Stone Mather, a benefactor of the university who passed away in 1909.
There is a connection between Mather Memorial abd the chapel, as Flora Stone Mather also dedicated money in her will to complete the Amasa Stone Chapel, named for her father.
