“Going Back to Move Forward: The Bible’s First Principles”

The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will host a remote lecture with Rabbi Roger Klein, of The Temple-Tifereth Israel, titled “Going Back to Move Forward: The Bible’s First Principles.” This session will be held Friday, March 19, from noon to 1 p.m.

In this session, participants will reflect on what they do on the holiday of Simchat Torah; namely, finish the Torah. Then, participants will immediately proceed in two ways: return to the beginning and also read the opening verses of the next book, the Book of Joshua.

Previously an instructor with The Laura and Alvin Siegal College of Judaic Studies, Rabbi Klein serves as a rabbi at the Temple-Tifereth Israel where he manages adult learning programs and conducts a well-attended Torah Study class every Shabbat morning. Additionally, Klein has lectured widely at synagogues, churches and universities around the country on Bible, Jewish thought, Jewish philosophy and Jewish history, Christian-Jewish relations, Jewish humor, and music.

Register for the session.
