Get a flu shot to help stay healthy; free flu shot clinics to be offered

Faculty, staff and students are welcome to come to free flu shot clinics on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings in the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center Fieldhouse.

“This year it is more important than ever for everyone to get a flu shot. The vaccination will protect you, and those around you, from the influenza virus and will help reduce potential strain within our health systems in relation to the coronavirus,” said Elizabeth Click, medical director.

No appointments are required, but all participants need to bring their CWRU ID. In addition, wearing an outfit that allows the upper arm to be easily exposed is suggested.

The first 15 flu shot clinics will be held on the following dates from 8:30 a.m. to noon:

  • Sept. 15–17
  • Sept. 22–24
  • Sept. 29–Oct. 1
  • Oct. 6–8
  • Oct. 13–15

Additional October and November dates in the Veale Center Fieldhouse, as well as some clinics in the Health Education Campus, will be communicated in October.

For those traveling to campus specifically for the flu shot, be sure to complete the daily assessment before coming to the clinic.
