Get outside and get walking with Wellness Program fitness challenge

“Walktober,” the 31-day fitness challenge, will start Thursday, Oct. 1, for faculty and staff. In this friendly competition, participants set their own goal of 6,000 to 10,000 steps per day for the month of October. As they move through the month, tracking steps daily, a personal tree will fill with fall foliage. And for those who are not walkers or runners, other activities can be counted and converted into steps.

The Walktober site includes pictures of fall scenes across the globe as well as a mapping tool and recipes.
