First-year students: Orientation events to highlight employment opportunities

Case Western Reserve University offers an array of part-time student work opportunities during the academic year for students with and without Federal Work-Study awards.

Orientation week will include two campus employment events that will help students learn more about working during college and help them find the right position for them.

“The Essentials of Student Employment” will be held Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 2 to 2:50 p.m. in Strosacker Auditorium. Representatives from the Office of Student Employment will be available to answer questions and provide information about Federal Work-Study, campus employment, employer expectations, the payroll process and much more.

A job fair will be held Thursday, Aug. 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Thwing Center’s Excelsior Ballroom. The job fair is for all students who plan to or want to find out how to work on campus. Employers from across campus will be on hand to talk to students and, in some cases, interview on the spot.

Find detailed information in the Student Employment Guide, including a list of required documents you will need to submit to University Payroll.
