Find out how a plant-based diet can help prevent heart disease

Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr., author of Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease, will present the second session of the Plant-Based Nutrition series Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Biomedical Research Building, Room 105.

The session will focus on “The Ending of Heart Disease.”

In 1995, Esselstyn published his benchmark long-term nutritional research on arresting and reversing coronary artery disease in severely ill patients.

Esselstyn and his wife, Ann, have followed a plant-based diet for the past 26 years.

He directs the cardiovascular prevention and reversal program at Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute.
