Daniel Goldmark, professor of music, will lead the next discussion in the series. He will present “The New ‘New” Hollywood Musical” Friday, Nov. 30, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Landmark Centre (25700 Science Park Drive, Beachwood).

Talk details

Stories of the film musical’s demise have been bandied about for years. With the popularity of La La Land and other recent films, however, we can see that film musicals are alive and well.

In this presentation, Goldmark will look at recent film musicals and the legacy of classic Hollywood.
