The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will host an upcoming remote course titled “Jewish American Theatre: Immigration to Integration” in July.
This course explores how Jewish theater went from a niche immigrant pastime to one of the dominant threads of modern American theater.
In this course, participants will examine the history of Jewish American theater, from the popularity of Yiddish theater through the greats of American musical theater, including artists Boris Tomashevsky, Al Jolson, Arthur Miller and Rogers & Hammerstein.
The course will be held Mondays July 10–31 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
