This month, we welcome the Class of 2023 to Case Western Reserve University. To help welcome our newest students to campus, each week in August, we’ll highlight a fact about Discover Week (formerly known as orientation).
While Discover Week doesn’t officially begin until international students start arriving on campus Aug. 15, our newest students have been navigating the process for much longer.
First-Year Experience and Family Programs is committed to assisting students from the very beginning of the Case Western Reserve University journey. To ease the transition, the office this year started offering a “Roadmap” for new students. The site takes students through the summer, outlining important steps along the way such as receiving their navigator assignment and signing up for a move-in time.
Partners in First-Year Experience and Family Programs, Residence Life, Enrollment Management and University Marketing and Communications collaborated to create the Roadmap.
See how the Roadmap guided students this summer.
The Roadmap is part of a revamped orientation experience. The 2019 Discover Week will mark the first time the program has seen significant changes since 2012. Planning for this year’s program began shortly after last year’s ended.
