On Tuesday, we welcomed everyone back from the holiday weekend with a view of the campus architecture, testing individuals’ knowledge of where on campus it might be located.
The correct answer, guessed by many, was the Edward W. Morley Chemistry Lab, located on the Case Quad. The building, named for the Western Reserve University’s faculty member and famed scientist, was created in 1910. It was the second Western Reserve building named for a faculty member; the first was the Cushing Laboratory, built in 1908 for Henry Kirk Cushing and then razed in 1929.
