Deadlines approaching for some summer research programs

Deadlines are nearing to apply for Support of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors (SOURCE) summer funding proposals and Summer Funding in Energy and Sustainability (SURES). The deadline is March 4 for SURES proposals from all undergraduate students and for SOURCE funding for students in arts, humanities, management, nursing and social sciences. The SOURCE deadline has passed for engineering and science proposals.

Students may apply for SOURCE funding to support research and creative projects, including stipend, travel and materials.

The SURES program provides support for undergraduates to participate with faculty in research, while also engaging students, staff, faculty and community members in discussion and debate of energy issues.

All undergraduate students who are continuing as undergraduates at Case Western Reserve University in fall 2016 are eligible to apply for the funding programs. Award recipients must be registered for fall classes prior to beginning the summer project. Projects must be completed at Case Western Reserve and/or be under the supervision of a Case Western Reserve faculty member.

Each program offers up to $3,500 in funding.
