Cultivating gratitude is a powerful way to create change, strengthen relationships and positively affect productivity and happiness at work and at school. Research has found that simple acts of gratitude can improve mental well-being; improve and expand relationships; enhance overall health; improve sleep, self-esteem and empathy; and reduce aggression.
Employee and Student Wellness will host a 30-day Gratitude Challenge this April for CWRU faculty, staff and students to learn about a variety of practical strategies to enhance life and encourage positivity. The challenge will start today (April 1).
Sign up now for the 30 Day Gratitude Challenge and learn about a variety of practical strategies that will enhance your life and will bring positivity to those around you. There will also be “Gratitude Boards” in various high traffic locations on campus this month on which the CWRU community can write notes of thanks.
In the middle of the challenge, there will be a discussion titled “Sweat the Small Stuff: How to Harness the Power of Appreciation.” Two sessions of this will be held Tuesday, April 16, at noon and again at 1 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom C.
