High-quality pre-K doesn’t get most lead-poisoned children ready for kindergarten
The Plain Dealer: For children who have been exposed to lead, preschool is not enough to prepare them for kindergarten, according to research out of Case Western Reserve University. Beth Anthony, research assistant professor at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, explained how damaging lead can be to a child’s development, even if it no longer shows in blood.
