CWRU students, faculty, and staff are invited to join University Farm for a CWRU Farm Campus Volunteer Day event to help get the farm’s 2-acre vegetable garden and planting beds ready for the growing season. Activities might include weeding, digging, bed rake-out, planting, mulching, weed matting, and more.
The event will be held Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to noon. Ryan Bennett, coordinator of the Farm Food Program, will meet participants at the University Farm’s Squire Valleevue location (37125 Fairmount Blvd.)
Attendees should dress for the weather (wear closed toe shoes that can get muddy) and expect light tool use, some lifting and carrying of materials, and lots of bending and kneeling.
Light refreshments will be provided.
RSVPs are required. Register for the event via CampusGroups.
