Headshot of Julie GerberdingAmong our outstanding alums is Julie L. Gerberding, who graduated with both an undergraduate degree (1977) and a medical degree (1981) from Case Western Reserve University. Gerberding—the answer to this week’s trivia question—went on to direct the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from 2002-2009. Today, Gerberding, who is a university trustee, is executive vice president of strategic communications, global public policy and population health at Merck.
