Collaborate with Students for the Exploration and Development of Space CWRU to offer programming related to the upcoming total solar eclipse

This year, on April 8, Cleveland will experience a total solar eclipse. Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS) CWRU is planning events on and around the day of the eclipse, but also would like to collaborate with other clubs and organizations to offer programming.

On the day of the eclipse, SEDS CWRU, the University Program Board and the university will host an event leading up to and during the eclipse (early afternoon to around 4 p.m.). Campus organizations are invited to hold small activities during the event. Though activities relating to science or space are preferred, but not necessarily required.

SEDS CWRU also is planning “Space Week” the week surrounding the eclipse (Saturday, April 6, to Friday April, 12). Other organizations are needed to hold space-themed events during the week. SEDS CWRU will handle promotion and publicity, compiling a schedule of each event and highlighting the organizations hosting them, as well as help out with some logistics. Space Week events don’t have to be separate from normal events your organization runs, as long as it is during Space Week and is vaguely space-themed.
