All amateur radio operators are invited to make a contact this week with the Case Amateur Radio Club, W8EDU. This is the week of the spring semester School Club Roundup, a contest that encourages American and Canadian students of all ages to get on the air.
Participants should call on 146.550 MHz or 432.10 FM simplex for their callsign to be in the contest log. If there is no answer, email w8edu@case.edu or call 216.368.3579 to make sure someone is available at the CARC end.
Licensed or not, campus community members are welcome to visit the station and try operating during the contest. Call as above or attend open-station Thursday, Feb. 14. The group will be in Glennan Building, Room 9A, from 7 to 10 p.m. Those who need directions can call the club.
The contest runs through Friday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m.
