“Can Jewish Art be Contemporary?”

Join the Siegal Lifelong Learning Program for a lecture by a visiting scholar titled “Can Jewish Art be Contemporary?” Monday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. at the Landmark Centre Building, Suite 100 (25700 Science Park Dr., Beachwood).

Ben Schachter, professor of visual art at Saint Vincent College, will talk about what happens when the styles and methods of contemporary art are brought together with Jewish texts.

Admission is free for Lifelong Learning members and $5 for nonmembers.

The Cleveland Jewish Arts and Culture Lab and Mandel Jewish Community Center of Cleveland will co-sponsor the event.
