Campus Spotlight: Thwing Study Over Committee

As the semester winds down, many students begin to feel the stress of their impending finals. But each semester, they take time to alleviate some of that pressure and un-wind at the Thwing Study Over for an evening of food, entertainment and more.

This semester’s event will be held Sunday, Dec. 10, from 7 to 11 p.m.

Behind this tradition is the Thwing Study Over committee, a team of students who organize every aspect of the evening—from which food vendors will offer their fare to the organizations that will host activities throughout the evening.

Food from such vendors as Mason’s Creamery, Pacific East and Pierogi Palace will be available, and students will have the chance to try out a surf simulator.

The team is composed of four subcommittees: food, entertainment, student organizations/logistics and PR/marketing.

This semester, 12 students are on the committee, with co-chairs Amy Chang and Lily Trambley leading the effort.
