La Alianza, a student organization on campus, supports Latinx students on campus and celebrates their culture with events hosted throughout the year.
This month, they’re doing that with a full schedule of events for Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs Sept. 15-Oct. 15.
The schedule features Gala Latina, cultural celebration focused on the empowerment of the Latinx community at Case Western Reserve University and in Northeast Ohio. Gala Latina will be held Friday, Oct. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Linsalata Alumni Center. View the Facebook event page.
Earlier this month, La Alianza, in partnership with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, hosted Noche Latina, a night of Latin dancing and music for students.
La Alianza remains active throughout the year. To mark commencement, La Alianza hosts the Latino Graduation Ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of students who identify as Latina/o, Latinx or Hispanic.
