People giving blood

Blood drive

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive on campus Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Wade Pioneer Room.

Approximately 900 pints of blood are needed daily to meet the need of Northeast Ohio hospitals and medical institutions; each pint of blood can save up to three lives.

Donors are encouraged to make an appointment online, but walk-in’s also are welcome.

Donors can save lives in less time by taking advantage of the RapidPass system to complete their health history online before they donate. Those planning to use the RapidPass system must complete it on the day of donation; this process does not replace making an appointment.

SpartanTHON and Camp Kesem will sponsor the drive.
