Calm your racing brain and improve focus both at work and at home with one of three Case Western Reserve University wellness classes this summer.
Beginning on Monday, June 1, participants can practice the basics of meditation and learn what happens to their brain when they take time to slow down at meditation. The basic meditation classes will continue Mondays at noon in the Bellflower Lounge of Thwing Center. Registration for class is available online.
For those who have already taken the initial meditation class, Meditation 2.0 will be offered beginning Wednesday, June 3, at noon in Nord Hall, Room 410. Online registration for the four-week class is available online.
An eight-week program on mindfulness will also be held on Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. in Nord Hall, Room 400. Mindfulness is a specific type of meditation which offer skills and practice so that one can spend more time in the moment instead of fretting about past experiences or future challenges. Registration for the mindfulness program is available online.
All wellness classes are free for CWRU employees. Wellness Participants can use these classes to earn the stress management incentive at the end of the year. To learn more about the wellness incentive, contact wellness@case.edu.
