The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will bring Alan Dowty, professor emeritus of international relations at University of Notre Dame, to its Beachwood facility Wednesday, Oct. 31, at 7 p.m.
Dowty will present “The Arab-Israeli Conflict in the 21st Century,” examining changes that have emerged in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict over the past century, including religious militancy, the rise of non-state actors and changes in the nature of warfare. Dowty will also address how this development complicates settlement of the conflict.
The event will be held at the Siegal Program’s Landmark Centre (25700 Science Park Drive, Beachwood). The cost for members of the Siegal Lifelong Learning Program or the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage is $5, and $10 nonmembers.
Register through the Siegal Lifelong Learning Program website.
The event is made possible with the generous support of the Academic Engagement Network and Case Western Reserve University’s program of Jewish Studies and is co-sponsored by Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage and Siegal Lifelong Learning Program at Case Western Reserve University.
