All students are encouraged to apply for a brand new leadership position as 2016 homecoming committee director.
Next year will be the first time homecoming will be an “off-the-top” organization, which means it will receive funding directly from the Student Activities Fund, so a new position has been created to ensure students’ voices are heard and the funds are managed and distributed appropriately. In the past, money for homecoming programming has come from the budgets of various organizations hosting events and the Office of Student Activities and Leadership.
The director of the homecoming committee will facilitate the student-driven event, monitor the distribution of funds and organize meetings, in addition to other tasks.
Applications for the new director position are available online and due by Dec. 2.
