Applications open for Douglas W. Nock scholarship for LGBT community members

Applications for the 2014 Douglas W. Nock Endowment Scholarship will be accepted through April 11.

The Douglas W. Nock Endowment Scholarship provides recognition and financial assistance to outstanding undergraduate students or admitted high-school graduates who have advanced the mission of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

Applicants qualifying for this award must be undergraduates or admitted high-school graduates who meet the following criteria:

  • Advanced the mission of the LGBT community while in high school, the LGBT community at Case Western Reserve University or the desire to do so
  • Enrolled or admitted in CWRU as an undergraduate student and in good academic standing with the university
  • Demonstrate financial need based upon submitted FAFSA forms. The sub-committee will recommend applicants to the Office of Financial Aid for final consideration based upon financial need.

Preference will be given to undergraduate students majoring in science, engineering and math fields.

The scholarship application must be submitted by April 11.
