The Academic Integrity Board will host its annual Integrity Week Feb. 18–22 to raise awareness of the importance of academic integrity on campus. This year’s theme is “Integrity Beyond CWRU.” There will be four main events throughout the week, including a keynote speaker to discuss how students can apply integrity in the workforce.
All events are free and open to the student body.

“Meet the AIB”
Tuesday, Feb. 19
9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tinkham Veale University Center
Students will have the opportunity to meet members of the Academic Integrity Board, ask questions about involvement, learn about what the board does and how hearings are conducted when students commit academic integrity violations.
Integrity Dialogues with GELS
Wednesday, Feb. 20
7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Thwing Center, Room 201
The board and GELS will discuss topics that revolve around how to be ethical in the classroom, and what the right thing to do is as a student when cases of academic integrity arise. The discussion will show students how they can be role models of honesty and transparency within the school.

Thursday, Feb. 21

This event is primarily meant to enhance communication between faculty and students on campus by discussing current issues concerning academic integrity on campus and to actively engage with the campus community.
Keynote speaker: Mark Lekan
Friday, Feb. 22

Tinkham Veale University Center, Senior Classroom
Mark Lekan, director of global ethics and compliance for Eaton Corp.-Americas, will discuss how one can embody integrity beyond campus and apply it in the workforce. After Lekan’s talk, students will have the chance to ask questions. Refreshments will be provided.
