The Student Sustainability Council and the university farm will host the Farm Harvest Festival Saturday, Sept. 22, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Squire Valleevue and Valley Ridge Farms (37125 Fairmount Blvd., Hunting Valley). This year’s theme is grapes.
Attendees will enjoy hayrides, corn-hole tournaments, s’mores bonfires, a tall grass maze, herb planting, mushroom production demonstration, fresh food cooking demonstrations, knitting, beeswax lipbalm making, Judo, microbead swap, cookie decorating, animal petting zoo, hiking tours and more.
The event is open only to CWRU affiliates and their families; food will be free for those with a CWRU ID. Buses will take attendees to the farm from Thwing Center beginning at 12:15 p.m.
