This Friday, April 20, the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center will be full, wall-to-wall, with research posters and eager presenters. As noted in today’s feature article, Research ShowCASE will be taking place—and, in conjunction, the Intersections: SOURCE Symposium and Poster Session, thanks to Support of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors (SOURCE).
Through SOURCE, undergraduates can pursue research and creative projects in any number of fields and topics. The office also facilitates institutional, departmental and divisional efforts, and coordinates mentoring relationships between students and faculty.
To prepare students for presentation events, SOURCE hosts a variety of workshops and seminars to educate students about poster-making, presentation skills, elevator pitches and responsible research conduct.
The office is dedicated to providing curious undergraduates with the resources and support systems necessary to pursue their academic curiosities. It offers funding opportunities for students with a variety of educational foci both on-campus and off.
Though the deadline to present at Research ShowCASE and Intersections has passed, all community members are welcome to attend Friday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Veale Convocation, Recreation and Athletic Center. Those who go may even walk away with inspiration for their next project.
