Join the CWRU Office for Sustainability to learn about sustainability efforts at Northeast Ohio zoos Thursday, Oct. 26, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Senior Classroom of the Tinkham Veale University Center. A speaker from each zoo will address how they keep their zoological campus green, including recycling, energy usage, composting and green building.
The speakers are:
- Nancy Hughes, sustainability manager at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo; and
- Chris Norman, director of capital projects and sustainability at the Akron Zoological Park.
A Q&A session will conclude the talk.
Those attending are encouraged to bring their own lunch to eat during the event. The Office for Sustainability will provide dessert and coffee.
