Nearly all who answered this week’s Guess Where question where able to correctly guess the Health Services Building—also the former law school building.
Designed by Charles F. Schweinfurth and completed in 1896, the building originally served as the first home of the School of Law.
Schweinfurth designed many campus buildings, including Haydn Hall and Florence Harkness Chapel.
The inscription along the top of the building is Exodus 18:20 from the Bible and reads “And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt show them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.”
Today, the building houses health services.
