“Acrobats,” the Putnam Collection piece at the Glennan Building entrance by Van Horn Field, is one of two sculptures on Case Western Reserve University’s campus by artist Keith Haring.
Created in 1986, “Acrobats” is described as “playful and full of vitality, shows two acrobats in a gravity defying pose that evokes the naive simplicity of children’s art.”
Haring’s other campus sculpture is “Two Dancing Figures,” which is housed in Kelvin Smith Library’s Anne M. and Roger Clapp Reading Room.
Just 26 percent of this week’s Connect question participants correctly guess “Acrobats,” although another 33 percent could name the statue’s location on campus.
