Solo drug use fuels overdose deaths in Cuyahoga County, study finds
Crain’s Cleveland Business: Daniel Flannery, the Dr. Semi J. and Ruth Begun Professor and director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, and Vaishali Deo and Sarah Fulton, both research associates at the Begun Center, discussed their research findings, highlighting that nearly three-fourths (or 74.9%) of those who died from drug overdoses in the county between 2016 and 2020 were using alone.
