Fall in Cleveland is winding down and Case Western Reserve University students will begin preparing for end-of-semester activities sooner than it may seem. To help our faculty, staff and students keep busy and find new things to do during November, we’ve compiled a list of some events to check out.
Whether you embrace the dropping temperatures or prefer to stay warm inside, there’s activities for everyone to enjoy in Northeast Ohio during November.

Cleveland Pizza Week
Nov. 6–12
Pizza is universally loved—and this month, you’ll have the chance to find the best slice in Cleveland. During Cleveland Pizza Week, more than 35 restaurants will offer up $9 pizzas, including specialties and secret options.
Whether you’re a faithful patron of spots like Dewey’s or Citizen Pie, or you are looking to try a completely new take—such as artisanal shrimp pizza from La Playa Fresh Seafood—there will be choices that cater to just about all preferences. Some eateries will even have gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian choices.
Frost at Cleveland Botanical Garden
Begins Nov. 18
When you think of winter, visions of flora and fauna probably don’t spring to mind. But the Cleveland Botanical Garden might change your mind.
Beginning Nov. 18 and running through Dec. 31, the Cleveland Botanical Garden will transform its indoor and outdoor spaces with spectacular lights and immersive displays—including more than 500 poinsettias. To allow guests to get the full experience, the garden will stay open late on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout the season.

WinterLand
Nov. 25
Join fellow Clevelanders for the city’s annual event to mark the start of the holiday season. Packed with favorites like hot cocoa, ice skating and more, this event—centered around the tree lighting ceremony in the evening—launches a season-long series of events and activities celebrating winter.
Guests can expect music, fireworks, a popup bazaar and more during this festive event.
