The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will host its annual Week of Learning May 21–25 with special guest Michal Bar-Asher Siegal, the Horace Goldsmith Visiting Associate Professor in Judaic Studies at Yale University and associate professor in the Goldstein-Goren Department of Jewish Thought at Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
The Week of Learning will consist of two in-person lectures and an in-person course:
- Sunday, May 21, at 7 p.m. at the Landmark Centre Building (25700 Science Park Dr.): “It’s Complicated: Jews and Christians in the Ancient World”
- Monday through Wednesday, May 22–24, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Landmark Centre Building (25700 Science Park Dr.): “When a Heretic Walks into the House of Study: Jewish-Christian Interactions in the Babylonian Talmud”
- Thursday, May 25, at 7 p.m. at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun, Community-wide Tikkun Leil Shavuot: “‘Mountains Hanging on a String’ On the Two Torahs (oral and written)
