Researchers examine global neurosurgery movement in piece published in the Journal of Clinical Neuroscience

An undergraduate student, alumni and fellow researchers co-authored a piece conducting a systematic review of “global neurosurgery” research on Pubmed, evaluating the global neurosurgery movement.

The researchers were:

  • Rosemary Behmer Hansen (CWR ’15, GRS ‘18, bioethics and public health) of the Department of Neurosurgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School; 
  • Ryan Behmer Hansen (CWR ‘16, GRS ‘17, biomedical engineering) of the Department of Neurosurgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School;
  • Virginia Behmer, an undergraduate student in biology, anthropology and psychology;
  • Justin Gold of the University of Rhode Island;
  • Nicole Silva of the Department of Neurosurgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School;
  • Arjun Dubey of Wollongong Hospital – NSW Health; and 
  • Anil Nanda of the Department of Neurosurgery at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.

The authors’ analysis included details of authorship, research subject matter and location.
