“In Pursuit of a Biomimetic iBCI for Dexterous Hand Use Following Spinal Cord Injury”

Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to hear from Lee Miller, Distinguished Professor of Neuroscience at Northwestern University, during a Neural Prosthesis Seminar Thursday, Dec. 7, from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Wolstein Research Building auditorium (Room 1413).

Miller will present “In Pursuit of a Biomimetic iBCI for Dexterous Hand Use Following Spinal Cord Injury.” The talk will cover Miller’s research findings and insights around using a novel brain-computer interface designed to help individuals with spinal cord injury control both motion and force of the hand.

The Neural Prosthesis Seminar is an educational forum that brings together researchers, scientists, clinicians and students in the Northeast Ohio research community to encourage the exchange of scientific information on global emerging neuromodulation and neurostimulation topics.

The event also will be livestreamed.
