CWRU Amnesty with IDEA (inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility) training will give a presentation on the abolition of the death penalty Thursday, Oct. 15, at 7:30 p.m. Any student who is passionate about advocating for human rights and wants to make their voice heard are invited to attend.
The event will begin with part one of IDEA (inclusivity, diversity, equity and accessibility) training through Amnesty International USA to help students become better advocates for human rights. Following this training, there will be a presentation and discussion on the morality of the death penalty, including different cases, decriptions, and petitions and other actions that can be taken to work toward abolishing capital punishment.
