The Department of Political Science will welcome one of the nation’s leading scholars of the presidency to campus Oct. 4 to discuss some of the most important issues about its future: How can the presidency fit into a new party system, and with what consequences? What does partisan conflict tell us about what presidents can accomplish—and would the answer be the same for a President Romney as for President Obama? Jeffrey E. Cohen, a professor of political science at Fordham University, will be in Clark Hall 309 Oct. 4 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. discussing these—and many more—issues.
