As the semester begins, it’s a time to look ahead—to new classes, new projects and new opportunities.
But it’s also an ideal moment to reflect on recent successes and chart a plan to build on them.
Today, Case Western Reserve University launches its annual report—a year in review that chronicles key elements of the last fiscal year, which runs from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023.
“The data in this Year in Review are like snapshots in a photo album—there’s a story behind each picture,” President Eric W. Kaler wrote in the report. “Every data point in this report reflects the day-to-day hard work of faculty, staff and students who are committed to elevating academic excellence, expanding our research enterprise, and enhancing our engagement with the broader community.”
Among the highlights:
- 3,725 degrees awarded—from bachelor’s to doctorates
- More than 12,200 students from 96 countries and 50 states
- $183.8 million in gifts and pledges
- More than 1,200 research awards totaling $389.2 million
