“Writing Your Methods—the Heart of Your Scientific Paper”

Case Western Reserve University faculty members are invited to the next session in the Principles of Sound Scientific Writing series. Titled “Writing Your Methods—the Heart of Your Scientific Paper,” this session will be held Wednesday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Lerner Tower, Suite 1056.

Goutham Rao will lead this session, which will cover how to use a structured paradigm to bring clarity and conciseness to scientific writing. There will be an interactive lecture and participants will engage in small group exercises and receive peer feedback.

The objectives for this session will be:

  1. List and describe the two principal purposes of the methods section of a paper; 
  2. Locate methods reporting guidelines for the type of paper you are writing; 
  3. Apply the 5Cs paradigm to writing a methods section.

Refreshments will be served at 5:30 p.m. 

The fee to register is $25.
