The Case Western Reserve University Writing Resource Center will present “Rhetorical Grammar” on Friday, Oct. 18, from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. in Guilford House 323. During the session, faculty members Denna Iammarino and Wells Addington will note that, while it is important for writers to know proper grammar rules, good writers also know how to create sentences that are crafted for specific audiences and occasions—even if they have to break the rules.
Pizza will be provided at the event, which is part of the Writing Resource Center’s series of workshops addressing challenges student writers encounter in First and University Seminars. Focused and practical, these workshops provide strategies and tips that will help students become better writers. Interested students are welcome to attend any or all of the workshops.
