Writing Resource Center to offer Dissertation/Thesis Boot Camp

The School of Graduate Studies and the Writing Resource Center will hold the Summer 2019 Dissertation Boot Camp Monday, June 3, through Friday, June 7. The program will run each day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Bellflower Hall. The boot camp is free for participants.

About the Dissertation Boot Camp

Dissertation boot camps are effective in helping graduate students establish and practice the habits of good writing. The CWRU boot camp will provide students with four hours of quiet writing time as well as tips for completing their projects in a timely and healthy manner. Each student will be provided with quiet writing space, lunch and snacks.

To be eligible for the program, students must be MA/MS or doctoral candidates in the writing stages of their project. Accepted participants must come prepared with the research necessary to produce the desired text and attend all days of the boot camp. A $50 fee will be charged to boot camp participants who fail to do so.

The boot camp is limited to the first 13 qualified students. Participants will be notified of acceptance in May.
