ABC News: Susanne Vees-Gulani, associate professor of comparative literature and German, discussed the World War II bombing of Dresden in Germany and the far-reaching effects it had on the city. “It is absolutely their defining event in Dresden,” she said. “I mean, everything in Dresden goes back to, always, this event of the bombing of Feb. 13, 1945.”
