The Women Faculty Leadership Development Institute of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women and the Office of Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity will sponsor two distinct workshops on communication and negotiation for women faculty on Oct. 4.
From 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., underrepresented minority women will engage in a discussion of power dynamics, communication issues and empowerment for women of color. From noon to 2 p.m., all women faculty are invited to discuss gender differences in negotiation, barriers to effective negotiation, and how to become more proactive in the academy.
