Women faculty: Attend a workshop on “Shameless Self-Promotion: The Art and Style of Interpersonal Communication,” Sept. 18. During the event, Luanne Thorndyke, vice provost for faculty affairs and professor of medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, will explain how to receive credit for your accomplishments, gain positive visibility, get promoted and be courted for leadership positions.

The workshop, sponsored by the Women Faculty Leadership Development Institute of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, in Thwing Center’s Spartan Room.
