Scientists in a computational imaging lab at Case Western Reserve University are hoping that a novel computerized approach that looks for cancer signals outside the tumor area itself will be a historic leap in diagnosing cancer using just routine CAT scans.

Work by Anant Madabhushi and team to be featured at upcoming summit

Work by Anant Madabhushi, the F. Alex Nason Professor II of Biomedical Engineering and director of the Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics, and his team will be highlighted at the upcoming American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Breakthrough summit.

Their work is in artificial intelligence and pathology as an innovation in cancer imaging.

Madabhushi also will speak at this year’s event in Bangkok Oct. 11–13.
