The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women is pleased to announce this year’s class for the yearlong Women Staff Leadership Development Institute (WSLDI). Twelve women professional staff members were chosen from a competitive field of applicants.
This year’s cohort, the fifth class to go through the program, is composed of:
- Genine Apidone, career development manager, Career Center
- Sharon Burke, executive aide to the associate provost for International Affairs
- Kristen Carvaines, business analyst, Information Technology Services
- Marie Catanese, managing editor of alumni communications, Alumni Association
- Sridevi Cherukuri, bioinformatics project manager, School of Medicine
- Hannah Dentinger, assistant director of publications, Weatherhead School of Management
- Sara Fields, assistant director of alumni relations, School of Dental Medicine
- Jessica Landis, student services coordinator, Weatherhead School of Management
- Marielena Maggio, assistant director of International Student Services, Office of International Affairs
- Heidi Page, assistant director of the Institutional Biosafety Committee, Office of Research Administration
- Lisa Palazzo, director of contract negotiations, Office of Research Administration, School of Medicine
- Heather Clayton Terry, associate director for Women in Science and Engineering, Flora Stone Mather Center for Women
The institute is a program offering women professional staff an opportunity to enhance and energize leadership and career development skills through education, coaching, and the building of professional networks. Grounded in research about women’s career development, the purpose of WSLDI is to provide a university resource and support system for women professional staff seeking to further their personal and professional career development. The institute is meant to complement the staff development offerings already provided by Human Resources.
